Where do the property ratings come from?
We reserved this property primarily because the listing stated that we would be the only ones there. Unfortunately, the reality was different.
Already on the first night and the following day, other people were moving around the property. Although there were a few quieter days during our stay, even those weren’t without disturbances—for two days, the owner spent most of the day mowing the grass on the property. Toward the end of our stay, other groups of fishermen arrived. One of them played loud music and partied noisily until midnight, so there was no chance of a peaceful rest.
The biggest disappointment for us wasn’t the noise itself, but the fact that a basic condition of our stay—exclusive use of the property—wasn’t honored. If the listing states that you’ll be alone on the property, you expect that to actually be the case. If we had known that other people and fishermen would be on the property, we would have chosen a different place.
If you’re looking for true peace and quiet, privacy, and a stay without other visitors, our experience unfortunately shows that this place did not meet those expectations.
The third hunting blind from BezKemp, once again well-equipped, clean, and beautiful. The spot isn’t secluded—it’s a bit off to the side of a pond on the edge of the village—but across from it were people barbecuing, houses, and so on. A few people even came right up to the hunting blind for a walk, and unfortunately the worst part was a man with a lawn mower who drove right up to us as soon as we arrived; he mowed around the blind for ages and then continued mowing around the pond until about 6:30 p.m., so there was absolutely no peace and quiet:(So, there really wasn’t a sense of wilderness or solitude. But the pond is beautiful, and the morning was idyllic (no people). The restroom is a bit of an eyesore...)
