Where do the property ratings come from?
The campsite on the hillside below the forest was a great choice: a fantastic view, and the village—with plenty of log cabins and other interesting buildings—was right at our doorstep.
Another highlight is the glamping-style amenities that you don’t find just anywhere: the option to light the stove and enjoy both the comfort of the cabin and a hot bath (even though the shower didn’t have much water pressure) is unique. The “dry-wet” toilet was also intriguing. I must also praise the artfully chosen interior elements (shelves, sets of dishes…).
The cabin’s amenities were generally satisfactory; there were plenty of bottles of drinking water, and we even had bed linens provided. There was plenty of firewood. A slight disappointment was the very weak flame on the gas stove (even on the highest setting), so frying food took well over ten minutes.
We had to take the initiative to reach out to the owner (he hadn’t sent us anything by the evening of our arrival), but once we did, his response was quick and helpful. Finding the location using the map he sent was easy. As the owner notes, you have to walk a bit uphill from the public parking lot (so you can’t park directly below the property).
Among the pleasant surprises in terms of wildlife was the display of birds in the neighboring garden; the woodpeckers, in particular, put on quite a show in the morning.
The property isn’t fenced in, so given its proximity to an allotment garden community, a fairly large village, and a popular bench at the edge of the nearby forest, we were rarely completely alone over the weekend; we also had to keep a close eye on our dog.
My only major complaint would be regarding the stated capacity: I would recommend this place with a clear conscience only to a couple of travelers (since that’s all the bunk bed can accommodate); any third or fourth person would have to make do with either sleeping on the floor or (on warm nights) laying out a sleeping pad on the terrace.

The heating of the room by the spa stove is fine, the gas cooking fully sufficient, as is the amount of crockery and kitchen equipment. The supply of wood and drinking water was ok, we also used the axe and logs. We covered the porch on two sides with tarps against the autumn winds, which greatly increased the comfort of cooking and dining on the porch.
