The access road is paved; from there, continue on the grass all the way to Campsites No. 2, or you can leave your vehicle down on the property. Driving all the way up the hill can be difficult in snow or after rain. So, when the ground is wet, it’s best not to stop behind the gate; instead, get a little momentum going right from the road. Otherwise, in dry conditions, there are usually no problems. The entrance is wide enough for RVs and cars with travel trailers—just be sure to lift the gate carefully! **When operating the gate, hold onto the log at all times, not the counterweight. Otherwise, there’s a risk of breaking the posts!**
without restrictions, width 4m or more, it is necessary to lift the wooden gate. Please fold it carefully again on departure.

Other activities
We can recommend e.g. gastronomic experience in the luxurious but slightly more expensive restaurant of the Ratměřice Chateau (2.5km) with a tennis court, or a classic inn in Ratměřice for an evening beer or on the other hand in the Libouň Chateau (2.5km; they cook well here during the summer season usually Thurs/Fri-Sun), or in Louňovice pod Blaníkem for food, local beer Špácal and lime (4.5km), you can also find ice cream on tap at the chateau. We can recommend a very nice garden with quality food and good prices in Votice U Modré kočky (12km/12min by car).
Right in the village of Zvěstov there is a small, well-equipped shop with friendly service (700m) (during the summer open also on Sundays 14-16, just don't expect pastries on Sundays). Here you will also find containers for sorted waste, but we will be happy if you prefer to take your waste to your village. There are smaller refuelling stations in nearby Jankov (4.5km) or Louňovice (no refuelling facilities for caravanners). You can walk to the castle café in Odlochovice.
Do you have a sedentary or otherwise demanding job? And would you like to help us improve the campsite and clear your head with some manual work (e.g. chopping wood, bushwhacking, painting etc.)? Let us know in advance and we'll try to work something out (tools will be provided, of course).
Please light fires only in the fire pit or in a portable grill, at a sufficient distance from the meadow, where the grass is dry from the summer heat and there is a risk of a large fire.
Wood and briquettes are available for a small fee of 120 CZK (after emptying the wood box, please refill it completely for others). The self-service bar has its price list on site; don’t forget to rinse your cans with drinking water!
You can pay as you go or at the end of your stay via QR code by bank transfer.
Sausage forks, portable grills, grill grates, a gas lighter, “Pepo” solid fire starter, eco-friendly fire starter made from wood wool, a fire poker, wire brush, metal shovel, broom, rag, axe, gloves, etc. are available free of charge in the shelter.
A portable grill with a granite top is now also available (wood is burned beneath the top). This grill is quite heavy; it’s best to have two people move it, and its use is strictly prohibited immediately next to the shelter!!! After use, while the plate is still hot, clean it with a spatula or wire brush (it’s much harder to clean once it’s cold) and remove the ashes (once cooled, dump them into the compost), so that others can use it again.
Please take your sorted trash with you.
You can dispose of it in the village square near the store, but we’d prefer it if you took the trash you’ve generated back to your own town for disposal.
Please always check that the main water valve is turned off before you leave.
Please pick up after your pets and remove their “gifts” from our property so that other guests don’t have to avoid them.
Feel free to water the surfinias on the solar-powered screen if the soil is dry (you can scoop water from the pond or the cooling basin).
The ornamental pond is not intended for swimming; please instruct your children to leave the pebbles where they are, to understand that the fish are not targets for harm, and that the ornamental grasses are happy where they are. You’re welcome to pick flowers to your heart’s content in the meadow and field ;-)
We don’t live right next door, so we come by to tend to the property about once a week.
Feel free to message us via WhatsApp about any issues or suggestions for improvement so we can resolve them before the next campers arrive—or simply make things better, which we enjoy doing.
The property with the shelter is monitored by a camera system to enhance the security of both your and our property. By making a reservation, you acknowledge this fact and confirm your agreement.
Please always take off your shoes before entering the glamping tent so it will last longer for us and for you, and at the end of your stay, please clean up thoroughly and replace the used sheets and pillows with clean ones for the next guests (leave the used sheets in the trunk). We do not live in the immediate vicinity, so we visit the property to check on things roughly once a week.
For your pets—for whom you are fully responsible and who must not enter the tent while wet—please bring their favorite bed (so they don’t lie on the mattress covers!) and you are fully liable for any damage they cause (otherwise we would have to cancel this option for everyone else). Please pick up and remove your pets’ “gifts” from our property so that other guests don’t have to avoid them.
